Description: Benylin Paediatric Syrup is a medication specially formulated to provide effective relief of cough, hay fever, and allergies in children above the age of 2 years. Ingredients: Each 5ml of the syrup contains Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 7mg, Alcohol 5% w/v, and Sodium Benzoate 0.5% w/v as a preservative. How to use: For children aged 6 to 12 years, the recommended dosage is 5 to 15 mg every two to six hours, as needed. Children aged 4 to 6 years should take 5 mg every four hours, as needed. However, the use of this medication is not recommended for children and infants up to 4 years old. Precautions: It is important not to exceed a maximum of 4 doses per day. The use of this medication may cause drowsiness and impaired concentration. It is advised to avoid consuming alcohol or other central nervous system depressant agents simultaneously, as it may worsen these side effects.
